Nearly half a century ago, Torcora chairwoman TJ Chen began as a real estate agent servicing the Orange County area. Relying on her passion and expertise, clients began to ask TJ to manage their properties. Our services gradually grew from one realtor to include all parts of the process: investment advisory, loan assist, real estate purchase, property management, project management, and home development.
Not only do we provide real estate services, we are clients too! Torcora Group is invested in rental properties across Southern California than span over 200 miles.
Torcora is a latin abbreviation for Turtle (tortuga) Rock (cora), an Irvine community in which TJ purchased her first property. Our name is an ode to old beginnings.

David Robert
From working at the prestigious Ropes & Gray(Top 10) to leading Torcora’s ventures, David’s practice includes a broad range of general commercial matters. He has advised global companies (Fortune Global 100) and private equity funds in mergers, acquisitions, foreign direct investments, and commercial transactions involving property assets. He focuses on partnership arrangements, joint ventures, information transfers. David’s background in international assets brings with him a bevy of experience in life sciences, mobile technology, digital medicine, education, retail, software, auto, and telecommunication industries. He is a California native and enjoys the outdoors.

Christine Grace
Christine gained her legal chops as a director for the largest Asian American advocacy and litigation organization in the United States. During law school, Christine was a law fellow and an extern for the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC). After law school, Christine interned at Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (APILO) on trafficking cases and worked at The Walt Disney Company on employment-based immigration visas. As project director at AAAJ, Christine has worked on special political cases and liaised as part of its White House Initiatives and Task Force.
With a family deep in real estate, Christine has been managing properties spanning multiple counties with hundreds of thousands of sqft under her supervision. Through Christine’s operational guidance, Torcora has reduced revenue risk and vacancy rates.

TJ got her start working at California’s largest family owned real estate company - Tarbell Realtor - nearly half a century ago. After repeating as Tarbell’s Top 100 Agents, she gradually grew to manage properties and advise investments. TJ’s personal story of tragedy and triumph serves as an inspiration and the main influencer of company culture.
